Writing Assignments 15%, Weekly Quizzes 55%, Final Exam 30%

Quizzes: Quizzes are open notes but may be timed, so thoroughly review the material before beginning a quiz so that you do not get slowed down having to search for an answer. The goal is to learn the material, not to stress you out over a quiz.

Writing assignments: Writing assignments are primarily for content and to assure that you are exposed to the type of writing you may be asked to do in a plant. Still, try to use good form, proper grammar, and check your spelling. Points may be deducted for poor writing. Also, please be careful to include everything asked for in the assignment, or points will be deducted. An opportunity will be given to make up half of any deducted points by re-writing and making corrections.

Final exam: The final exam is comprehensive and may include anything in the posted course materials, any handouts you are given, or any documents you were asked to download.

This is an online course. Log in to Blackboard at least once a week and check your email regularly. There will be Microsoft Teams sessions scheduled periodically. Respond to the invitation when received.
